Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed Powder

Becca as a brand is known for their amazing highlighters which they also call skin perfecters. They have wide range of pressed powders and liquid illuminators. I have been wanting to try their amethyst highlighter since it was launched but unfortunately it was out of stock so i bought this highlighter in shade Opal.

Packaging

These highlighters comes in a round compact type sturdy packaging with brand name embossed on top of it. closure is sturdy and locks well, so you can easily carry it around in your bag without having to worry about opening and shimmering your bag instead of your face.  They also have mirror inside which makes it easy to use while travelling. 

My Experience

My love for highlighters is little over the top and i was so excited to get my hands on it. When i swatched it on my inner wrist, it immediately blended with my skin tone. I couldn’t have been happier. As the name suggest it has micro shimmering granules which gives beautiful glow when wore on cheeks and chin. Texture wise it is creamy and powdery so it stays put on your face for long time and does not fall off at all. Color Opal has warm copper tones which suits my skin tone and blends in effortlessly.

I believe this colour Opal is more suitable for Indian skin tones rather Amethyst which has purplish tones. I guess going off shelves has worked in my favour and i am very happy with my purchase.

Bobbi Brown Glow to Go – Blush & Illuminate

Bobbi Brown name in itself screams luxury and it was always on my make up wish-list. Recently I marked it off my Wishlist and purchased my first Bobbi Brown from Sephora Canada. Keeping in mind my love for highlighters I purchased this Blush & Illuminate set. Lets get into more luxurious details.

Packaging

Believe me you would never want to unpack this kit. Packaging is just so out of the box, i love it. Outer packaging is a rectangular cardboard box with Bobbi brown written on one side with all glossy gold background and product picture on the back of carton. Other product details are mentioned on the sides. As you open the box comes the actual product in sturdy yet luxurious metal glossy golden box where Bobbi brown is mentioned in gold colour with logo on faux leatherette brown fabric.

My Experience

The moment I open the packaging i fell in love with this palette. It comes with a mirror justifying its name “Glow to Go Blush & Illuminate Set”, which is very travel friendly.

Talking about the Blush, It is in shade French Pink which is a bright pink shade but as you apply the product on your cheeks it gives you very subtle pinkish hue. It is not over pigmented. If you try to swatch it on your hand you would almost get nothing, but it does show up just right on your cheeks.Texture wise it is super soft and powdery.

Illuminator is in shade Platinum Sparkle and it comes in a small bottle with a dropper which dispenses the product. It is super glittery and will last lifetime. Just a touch of dropper on your skin and it blends crazily. I simply loved it. It can also be used as glitter eye shadow.

Over all i loved this palette and would definitely recommend this.
