These days Tarte Cosmetics is so much in beauty talks because of their new Magical wands brush set. But Tarte has always been my personal favourite since the time I have used their first product. I have tried both, their skincare and makeup range and let me tell you each and every product is on point. This time i am reviewing their Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade Birthday Suit.
Tarte unfortunately isn’t directly available in Europe as well as India. Hence, for my beauties in Europe and India, Tarte offers international shipping. Yayyy!!
This lip paint comes in a regular transparent lip gloss tube with black twist closure. Product description with all information is printed in glossy golden color on the tube itself and it looks sober and sturdy. I find it very travel friendly and easy to carry in small purse or clutch. Its regular duo foot applicator is very flexible and gives you smooth precise application.
While I was browsing Sephora’s website to find a perfect nude shade for my skin tone and complexion (fair to medium), I came across Tartiest Creamy Matte Lip Paint. Tarte offers huge spectrum of colours for these lip paints and I almost wanted to buy all, but coming back to point I wanted nude shade, so I read few reviews about the same and purchased this shade “Birthday Suit”.
It is a cool nude shade and is very pigmented, literally single stroke and you are good to go. Applicator is super soft and flexible and it has a hint of peppermint in it. I can feel a tingling sensation on my lips for few minutes after application and it smells amazinggg!!
It does oxidise and become a shade darker after application. What I did not like about this is, It is not transfer proof and transfers even if you sip water. I bought this in neutral shade so it does not makes a huge difference. But given any other colour it will fade away from centre for sure. Also it does not set on lips.
And If by any chance you happen to wipe your face, it will come off and ruin your makeup. Tarte could have make this formula a little better in terms of staying and it would have been a bang on product. It comes in so many shades but formulation makes me think twice before buying other colours.
